I just looked up Jacob Tremblay, and he ticks off a lot of the boxes in the blind item.

Foreign born (Canadian), just turning legal (will be 18 in October), been acting since he was a child (when I googled for images of him, a lot of childhood acting photos came up).

I have no idea who he is, because I've never seen him in anything, nor have I even heard of his name before this thread.

But he does seem to fit.

-someone not from the US, but from the way the industry is described here, mainly working in the US

-someone who has been acting since 10 or 11

-someone with a lot of Gen Z fans

-someone who has worked a lot with one A-list director who is now quite old

-someone who is currently working on or contracted for what is likely to be a breakout role.

The item most of these guesses don't take into account is the "long-time work with one A list director".

R60, I just had a quick look, but nearly all of Nicholas G's films seem to have been directed by women.

Doubtless. However currently Leo is also not young (see title of thread), nor about to break out. Unless it's of the closet.

Jacob Elordi was in Euphoria, which might account for the Gen-Z fans, and he's possibly about to break out. He has said he really hustled for work once he got to the US, so quite possibly that means the Couch, but he was already 20 then. He wasn't a young child actor in Australia, and he didn't work with anyone I'd consider A-list early on, though he did do a trilogy (?"a long time").
