Can I withdraw cash with a PC Financial credit card?
As a PC Financial Mastercard credit card customer, you may be able to use your card to take out a cash advance at bank machines that accept Mastercard, write convenience cheques, or complete a money transfer. The cash limit refers to the maximum that you're able to withdraw for these purposes.
You can also withdraw cash from a 3rd party ATM, subject to a fee (see fee schedule). You will need to select “Credit Card” under the card options and you may also be charged a convenience charge by the operator of the bank machine for the transaction.
Cardholders can use a credit card at nearly any ATM and withdraw cash as they would when using a debit card, but instead of drawing from a bank account, the cash withdrawal shows up as a charge on a credit card. Forbes Advisor does not recommend using a credit card for a cash advance.
While the President's Choice Financial® MasterCard® carries a purchase interest rate of 19.97% and cash advance rate of 22.97% - both quite normal among Canadian credit cards – there's no annual fee.
The Cash advance limit is a portion of the overall Credit limit, ranging from 20% to 40%. For instance, if your Credit limit is Rs 1,00,000 then you can withdraw between Rs 20,000 to Rs 40,000 as cash. The remaining balance can be used for Card transactions only.
Whether you're shopping, on vacation or dining at your favourite restaurant your card is there for you. It's also accepted at over a million bank machines worldwide, along with banks, currency exchange locations, stores, restaurants among other places.
Just head to the closest PC Financial bank machine, located in many Shoppers Drug Mart® and Loblaw banner grocery stores for free withdrawals from your account.
There are several ways to get cash back from your credit card. You can withdraw money at an ATM or receive convenience checks from your card issuer that, when deposited, draw from your credit line. Sometimes you can even deposit money directly into your bank account from your card by submitting a request online.
- Insert your credit card or use a cardless ATM option to access your account.
- Enter your credit card PIN.
- Select the cash advance or withdrawal option when prompted and follow the instructions on the ATM screen.
- Enter the amount of cash you plan to withdraw.
Step 1: Place a call to your credit card company. Step 2: Request a funds transfer. Step 3: Verify the amount you want to transfer to your bank account. Step 4: Provide the necessary bank account details and other required information.
What bank does PC Financial use?
Get the most out of your PC Financial® products.
President's Choice Financial Mastercard is provided by President's Choice Bank. PC Optimum program is provided by President's Choice Services Inc.
You remain responsible for, and must immediately pay, any amount that exceeds your credit limit. Each time your Account is over its credit limit on your statement date, you may be charged the over limit fee shown in the Disclosure Summary.
In order to get this rate, applicants must be new PC Financial customers and are required to make the transfers within 90 days of opening the account. After six months, the balance transfer rate goes up to 22.97%, and each transfer will be subject to a fee equal to 1% of the amount transferred.
Search the card issuer's online banking website or app for information about your credit card PIN. Contact your issuer: You can also call your credit card company to ask about your PIN. While it probably won't tell you your PIN over the phone, you may be able to request a new one.
Overview: PC Financial credit cards (+/-)
These credit cards are an excellent choice for consumers who shop where President's Choice products are sold — including Loblaws, No Frills, Real Canadian Superstore, and more — as well as stores and gas stations such as Shoppers Drug Mart, Joe Fresh, Esso and Mobil.
The PC Financial Money Account is a type of bank account used for paying bills and making purchases, both online and in-person. It comes with a PC-branded Mastercard that's more of a debit credit card than full fledged credit card and can only be used where Mastercards are accepted.
Unlike a typical Mastercard® credit card, the PC Money™ Account directly withdraws your own funds to make a transaction, instead of drawing from a portion of your available credit due to be paid back to the bank.
Other fees are: cash advance at a bank machine or teller in Canada: $5; cash advance outside Canada: $7.50; overlimit charge if over the credit limit on statement date: $29 (for Quebec residents: $0); cash equivalent transaction (such as for a wire transfer or money order): 1% (minimum $5, maximum $10); dishonoured ...
The PC Money™ Account is an everyday spending account that's a better choice than debit and rewards you every time you use it to make a purchase.
The PC Financial Mastercard allows purchases up to $200 via tap-enabled technology within our Loblaw locations. If the purchase amount is higher the customer will be prompted to use their physical plastic card. All other cards within Google Pay will have a $100 payment limit in our stores.
How to get a cash advance on a credit card with no PIN?
The easiest way to get a cash advance on a credit card without a PIN is to visit a bank that does business with your credit card company. Ask the teller for a cash advance, and present your card along with a government-issued photo ID.
1] Get Card With No Advance Fees
The first and best option is to get a card that offers you a cash withdrawal facility but without any charges or fees associated. While finding one such card might be difficult, there are a few cards that offer this facility. Also, the joining fees of such cards are usually high.
There is usually a fee to perform a transfer between a credit card and a debit card. This will depend on your provider but is usually somewhere between 1% and 5%. However, you need also to be aware of what interest rate you will be paying on your credit card on the funds you have transferred.
Sending money with a credit card can be convenient, but it typically comes with fees and higher-than-usual interest rates that can add up for big transactions. Apps like Cash App, PayPal and Venmo allow you to send money through their platforms with a credit card, while Apple Cash, Google Pay and Zelle don't.
It's also accepted at over a million bank machines worldwide, along with banks, currency exchange locations, stores, restaurants among other places. You can use it anywhere the Cirrus®, or Maestro® logos, or the Mastercard® symbol are displayed.
