If you, like us, are hooked on The White Lotus season 3 you’re probably deep in the weeds of fan theories and contemplating your own (potentially less dramatic) holiday to Thailand. If you’re like us you probably also smashed pause on your laptop this week when Lisa (of Blackpink fame) appeared as resort employee Mook with a complexion so surreally glowing she looked like a genuine goddess.

In the scene in question Lisa’s character Mook is dressed for a performance and stops by her aspiring beau’s Gaitok’s hut for some flirtatious banter before the show.

Her traditional performance garb includes a crown of flowers and golden jewellery, and she’s a vision. But it’s her face card, namely her radiant complexion, was the scene-stealer.

While the fourth episode left us with plenty of questions, the most pressing one for the ELLE team was, how does Lisa achieve her glowing complexion? Not to mention the rest of the cast who, from Michelle Monaghan’s TV soap actress Jacqueline on the loose to Shalini Peiris’s frustrated-therapist Amrita and Parker Posey’s self-medicating Southern mum Victoria Ratliff, are managing to look enviably radiant as they navigate their complex lives.

The Makeup Used On The Set Of White Lotus Season 3

Lisa’s makeup artist is Janejira Phanvichian and is yet to share a specific breakdown of Lisa’s look from this week. But, the show’s lead artist Rebecca Hickey has been sharing some of the products used on set to create the cast’s glowing, natural complexions. And, there’s not much by way of concealer or foundation involved.

Hickey told Who What Wear that thanks to Thailand’s high humidity she avoids foundation wherever she can for a complexion that is “fresh but still elevated.”

The starting point? Lashings of Merit Beauty Great Skin Instant Glow Serum ($61) a lightweight serum-primer hybrid that plumps and perfects the skin giving it megawatt luminosity.

But that is not all, Hickey also namechecked the Iconic London, Underglow Blurring Primer ($74.44) for that provides a candlelit glow with a smoothing effect. Unlike Merit, this product does have pearlescent pigments in it for a more intense luminosity particularly handy for catching the light during the many night time dinner scenes we’re seeing this season.

Hickey, who received an Emmy nomination for her work on The White Lotus season 2, has also been dropping product notes for individual characters on her Instagram.

Top mentions? Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer ($95.00) is a water and humidity resistant smoothing wonder product that Hickey used on Charlotte Le Bon’s character Chloe (girlfriend of the sinister Greg), a girl who spends plenty of time poolside. She’s also name-checked Glossier, Cloud Paint ($41) and Glossier, Ultralip ($41) for the sheer, rosy pouts and natural pouts we’ve seen on the cast.

Hickey has told multiple outlets that she chose to skip setting sprays and work with Thailand’s summer heat rather than against it. Some of her favourite skin mists include Eminence Stone Crop Hydrating Mist ($80) and Osea Sea Minerals Mist ($82.87).
