Help for families with school-aged children
School to Housing is for families in the Bloomington, Robbinsdale, Richfield, Hopkins, Eden Prairie and Intermediate 287 school districts, who are at risk of losing their housing.

Hennepin Shelter Hotline serves Hennepin County residents who are seeking emergency shelter by helping them find asafe, temporary place to stay while they work on next steps toward stable housing.
A person or family should contact Hennepin Shelter Hotline if:
- They are 18 years or older
- Theyareseeking emergency shelter
Hotline hours:
- Monday - Friday:8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Saturday - Sunday and holidays: 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- Callers outside of these hours will be directed to United Way's 2-1-1

The Youth Services Network helps young people (24 years and younger) find a safe, temporary place to stay.
A person should visit the Youth Services Network website if:
- They are 24 years or younger
- They don’t have a safe place to sleep tonight
Get a community card
A community card can be scanned by emergency shelters and drop-in centers to make access quicker. If you’re staying at Higher Ground Minneapolis shelter, they can print a community card onsite. Otherwise, community cards can be printed at:
